In a clinical trial done on 54 patients with colorectal cancer, in addition to chemotherapy,  4,000 mg fucoidan powder resulted in a DCR of 92%, correlated to 69% in the placebo group.

OSTEOARTHRITIS:

In a collective study of 13 people with osteoarthritis of the knee, a fucoidan supplement supplied for three months decreased indications of arthritis by 18% at a dosage of 100 mg and by 53% at a dosage of 1,000 mg.

VIRAL INFECTIONS:

In a small trial on 13 people with a tropical viral infection that causes weakness, muscle spasms, and sensory disturbances, 6g of fucoidan daily for 6-13 months reduced the blood levels of the virus that causes the disease by 42%.

PREVENTING BLOOD CLOTS:

In a pilot study of 20 enlistees, 2,250 mg fucoidan for 12 days moderately reduced clotting capability by meddling with the final stage of the coagulation process.
